Welcome to the home page of the Mt. Lebanon Sunrise Rotary Club. We are a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area Rotary Club, part of Rotary International District 7300.

The Mt. Lebanon Sunrise Rotary Club was started through the efforts of the members of the Dormont - Mt. Lebanon Rotary Club. The sponsoring club was facing its own challenges at the time, but responded to an opportunity to expand in the Mt. Lebanon area by the formation of a seperate morning club. Demographic studies then circulating through Rotary suggested that many clubs were missing membership opportunities since potential (especially younger) Rotarians had schedules that often prevented them from participating in traditional afternoon clubs. On December 12, 1990, we were officially chartered as the Mt. Lebanon Sunrise Rotary Club by Rotary International.

The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Please click here for more information regarding the guiding principles that we adhere to as Rotarians.

Our meetings showcase what is going on in the community - what other organizations and community leaders are doing to help our people live up to their ideals. Our members represent a cross section of community leaders, business owners and professionals who embrace the Rotary motto: "SERVICE ABOVE SELF". We seek individuals who share our vision so that together we can make a difference whenever we choose to do so. Rotary also provides us with the opportunity to reach out across the world and make a difference. Our club sponsors Dr. Larry Purpura's work in the Phillipines, providing desperately needed medical care. Through the Rotary Foundation, we have participated in the eradication of polio. Mt. Lebanon Sunrise Rotary Club is for anyone interested in making a difference - either around the corner or around the globe.
